Question: I found a 3-4 inch long worm like substance in my ice-tea bottle (Nestle), what could i do about this!? !?
I bought it from Woolworths and upon reaching home i placed it in the refrigerator!. After a while my flatmate, wanting a drink, took it out only to see something floating at the bottom!. At first we thought it was a tea leave but on more inspection we were pretty sure it was some kind of dead/living worm-kind thing!. It is 3 to 4 inches long and has got a tapeworm feel to it!. It is hard to say what it is but definitely not something to be had in an ice tea!. I am staggered by the discovery and feel cheated by Nestle, which has for long been a quality name for me!. Definitely don't throw the product away!. I would log on to their website http://www!.nestleusa!.com & find the 'contact us' link!. Click on it & detail for them in an email what you found, in which product it was found, & be sure to reference the alpha-numeric codes that are either on the side or bottom of the bottle!. (They'll need this to determine where the drink was manufactured, etc!.) Let them know just what you said in your posting here--that you are "staggered by the discovery and feel cheated by Nestle, which has for long been a quality name for you"!. Include your name, address & contact number, and indicate which way is best to contact you (email, snail mail, phone)!. You should receive a response within 24 hours!. If you do not receive one, call the customer service telephone # on the label!.

But don't do NOTHING!. If it's in your bottle, it's probably in someone else's, too & the company has no way of knowing about it if you, the consumer, don't make them aware!. They will address your concern & see that you are compensated for at least the cost of the bottle!.

I hope this helps!. GOOD LUCK! :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Besides calling the Nestle company and getting free voucher coupons for more of their products and also calling for a chance to complain and crack them up!. Unless you have the money to get a lawyer to sue for the emotional distress it has caused, as well as the "health risk", that is all you can do!. Gross!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Wow!. In response to some of the answers!.!.!. really!? Sue them over a dollar fifty bottle of tea that had a worm in it!? And what, claim the worm emotionally damaged him!? Yeah!.!.

I suggest just calling the number and asking for a refund if you're that upset about it!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Take it to a college or university biology dept!. and find someone there willing to study it!. Worms are gross, but I very much doubt it was tapeworm for they are in living animals and fish and tend to stay in the host for years!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Does Nestle bottle their iced tea at the same plant where Tequila is bottled!? The moral to the story is that if you drink Tequila and Nestle's iced tea, you won't have worms!Www@FoodAQ@Com

You could report it, but they'll say you put it in there!. The only thing you can do is never buy that product again and spread the word!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
