Why does my bottle smells bad?!

Question: Why does my bottle smells bad!?
Okay, so I've been to school using this old drinking bottle I always use!.!.!. but this morning when I was going to take a sip, I've just caught this horrible scent coming from the bottle!. Why is it so!? And how do you fix that problem!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Most likely this is because of bacteria growing in it!. Even if you refill the bottle every day, there's still going to be some lingering moisture in there on which various bacteria grow, especially if it's in a warm climate- that is, if it's not constantly refrigerated!.

That said, the best thing to do is wash it with scalding water and/or bleach!. Something as simple as vinegar or baking soda might work, but might also leave a bad taste in the bottle!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Girl above me: Correct!. Mould is growing on your bottle!. You may have to change it regularly, because even if you clean it thoroughly, mould will still grow!.

DO NOT re-use your bottle for longer than 2 weeks, it doesn't matter how well you clean it, there will still be bacteria there!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Bacteria builds up!.
Put two tablespoons of baking soda in it and fill it up before going to bed, shake it and let it sit until morning and then rinse it out and put your favorite drink in it!.
