The old advice, "let it cool first" seems too easy!.

Here's an idea: brew some coffee, and let it cool!. Don't add anything (cream, sugar, etc) to it!. Pour it into ice cube trays, and pop it in the freezer!.

Next time you have coffee that's too hot, put in a frozen coffee cube!. It will cool the coffee without watering it down!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Blow into your coffee before you take a sip!. Then, very slowly sip a very small amount through your lips to control the amount of coffee you sip!. If the coffee is very hot, let it sit out for awhile to cool down or just keep blowing into the coffee to cool it with the wind of your breath!. I suppose you could put ice cubes in it, but it might dilute the flavor depending on how many ice cubes you put!. Cold creamer or milk will cool it down a bit!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You blow on the top to cool it before sipping it in!. When you sip it, you draw air into your mouth at the same time to cool it as it trickles into your mouth!. You can also add ice cubes to take the temperature down to where it won't sear your tongue and throat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I always add a small amount of water to mine, or some ice cubes!. Not enough to water the coffee down, just enough to cool it off a bit!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
