I left the milk out but it's still cold?!

Question: I left the milk out but it's still cold!?
I want to be sure I'm not going to get sick here by drinking this milk!.

I left a gallon jug of milk out for about an hour or two, my room is cold and the milk was still cold when I put it back in the fridge!.

The only thing that concerns me is that it seems a bit of pressure built up inside of it as the jug was bloated!.

Does the bloated jug mean anything or is the milk still good to drink!? It smells fine in my opinion!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
The bloated jug is just a change in volume from low temperature to higher temperature!. In reverse, there would be a suction in the jug, which would have a "psfffft" sound when you opened it!.

As for whether it's good or bad, the milk is fine!. First of all, it would need to be out and at room temperature for some time before the bacteria levels would get too high to tolerate!. Secondly, when dairy goes bad, you know it from the smell right away!. When it turns, just follow your nose!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would not drink it!. Same thing happened here not to long ago!. It was cold, smelt fine, but tasted HORRIABLE!. To be safe, DON'T!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Milk doesn't spoil very quickly and when it does, you'll know it!. It should be perfectly safe!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
