Is it possible to make orange juice in a blender?!

Question: Is it possible to make orange juice in a blender!?
Can you peel a bunch of oranges, take apart the individual slices, put them in the blender, and get !. !. !. orange juice!?

I've done something similar with limes before; cut them in half (with the rind/peel), put them in the blender with water and sugar, blend, and strain!. I remember it tasting good!.

I tried putting oranges in the blender a few minutes ago, just peeled slices and some water (because they were getting caught in the blade), and it tasted horrible!. Is there a way to get orange juice by using a blender, or should I stick to using a juicer!?

I'm not talking about a smoothie, though, I want orange juice, please!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You will notice these little white looking layers in the orange, this is called the pith!. This "pith" is bitter and nasty, not good to eat!. They actually use the pith of fruit to make hard hats back in the day, so you can see how bad it is to eat!.

Just cut it in half and squeeze like you would one of those stress balls!. you don't need anything else!. Don't add water, maybe just a pinch of sugar because the sugar content in oranges this time of years is lower than during the summer, and a little squeeze of lime!. You will have the best OJ in the whole world!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hilarious!

You gotta go with the juicer, kiddo!. As for sweetness, that depends on the type of orange, not the time of year!. For instance, Valencias are sweet!. There are no summer oranges but the trees in my Florida backyard are loaded with them right now!. Juicy and sweet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you should take the off bitter part and the seeds!.!.
try adding some extra flavoring too, like a powder!.

it will still be thicker orange juice than what you may be used to, so I would stick to squeezing the oranges!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You might not have the right oranges and you should take the wight pithy part off because that is very bitter!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

sure but it will have more pulp than squeezing them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
