Did u ever notice that u cant breath through your nose when ur drinking a beverage?!

Question: Did u ever notice that u cant breath through your nose when ur drinking a beverage!?
Answers:
The reason you can't breathe through your nose is because in a fully functioning swallow, when anatomy is intact, the soft palate elevates to close off the nasal cavity!. You can breathe between swallows when taking multiple gulps, as the palate lifts and falls in preparation for the swallow!.

exceptions: when you experience uncommon discoordination and food/liquid comes out your nose (like milk coming out of a kid's nose when they start laughing with milk in their mouth/throat); when you vomit and it comes up too fast to keep from coming through your nose; when a person has a cleft palate!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yep!. The throat closes one opening if the other is in use--to the stomach or the lungs!. If not--the liquid would go into the lungs!. I was taught that 100 years ago in school!. lolWww@FoodAQ@Com
