If you're hungry, then you're stomach is most likely empty!. If your stomach is empty, then the only thing in it is stomach acid!.

Sodas are very very acidic and only add more acid to your empty stomach!. The excess of acids rolling around in your stomach upset the lining, causing cramps and/or nausea!. Try to eat before or during having a soda and dont drink it too fast (the carbonated bubbles also add to the acidic effect and by not gulping the soda down, you reduce the bubble effect)!.

Edit: Try taking an antacid or anti-gas medication!. The antacid helps nuetralize the acid in your stomach and calm the negative effects!. If you dont have an antacid, mix one teaspoon baking soda in 4 oz of warm water!. No, it wont taste good, but it'll work!. You'll probably burp a lot!.!.!.this is your body getting rid of the gas caused by the carbonation!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes!.!.!.!.soda has carbon dioxide in it!. So, that along with the caffeine and sugars irritate the acid in your stomach and can cause heartburn!. If that's not it, then the carbon in an empty stomach can be gas!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It might be the caffeine, too!. It stimulates the intestines!. That's why people have a BM in the morning after their coffee!. It might be irritating your intestines!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I HAVE HAVE FOUND THAT IF I'M EATING/DRINKING SOMETHING THAT UPSETS MY STOMACH, THE BEST THING TO DO IS NOT EAT/DRINK THAT PARTICULAR THING AGAIN!. ITS WORTH A TRY!Www@FoodAQ@Com
