Water itself doesn't go bad, but it can get bacteria growing in it if not properly stored, it should be stored in a cool dark place!. If you are going to store an emergency supply make sure you use food grade plastic, and change the water every 6 months!. A good container is two litter soda bottles, keep 6 for every person in your household!. Of if you use Bottled water, buy a case per person, and use or exchange them before the expiration date on the bottles!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It doesn't go bad on it's own but there are a few factors that give it that weird smell which is mostly due to the plastic containers people keep them in (not the water bottles they are shipped in) which seep chemicals into the water!. Second, if a person has taken a sip from it, the bacteria from their lips/mouth will transfer and contaminate the water over time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Water doesn't go bad!. I recycle bottles and fill them from my brita pitcher all the time!. Some are in the fridge, most are in the pantry!. You can't tell the difference!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No!. Water never gets damage!. It does not have an expiration date!.

I would not keep it in aluminum or a metal since the elements could breath in!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No its going to be fine!. As long as the container hasn't been opened!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
