Gatorade or Powerade mixed with water?!
I exercise a lot (on my bicycle anywhere between 30 and 100+ miles a week, as well as playing hockey 2 - 4 times a week, sometimes also tennis, soccer or basketball) and consequently drink a LOT of Gatorade or Powerade (personally I prefer Powerade) !.!. so to make it last a bit longer I often mix it 50/50 (half of that drink; half water) !.!. is this ok or should I drink it full-strength!? Although there's a difference in taste I haven't noticed getting dehydrated any faster, likewise fatigue!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well as they are, they are both isotonic!.!.
that means they get absorbed into the body at the same rate as water would because of the solute is the same concentration as in the cells!.!.
However once you mix it 50/50, they become hypotonic
This means that they are absorbed into the cell much faster and therefor rehydrating you faster!.!.
So its pretty much better for you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's fine and in fact, better for you to mix it with water!. Sports drinks are very acidic making them bad for your teeth (worse than even soda)!. Most people don't even need sports drinks unless doing strenuous exercise and or in high temps!. In most cases water will do just fine!. You're good to go!. Smart choice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
My understanding is that Gatorade is actually a better 'true sports' drink if it is mixed 50/50!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I like Powerade!.!.I mix it all the time with water and it tastes good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
