There is no 'purification' involved !
Mineral water is EXACTLY the same as it came out of the ground - apart from The ONLY filtering that's done - is to remove any foreign matter (stones, dirt etc) before bottling!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Mineral water that is bottled at source needs no preparation or filtering, but chemical and microbiological checks will be carried out on random samples to ensure that the water is potable!.

Mineral water is spring water, which comes out of the ground as is, and some waters, like Perrier, are even naturally carbonated!.

there is no prep that's why its mineral water because its filtered through rocks!.
