Is there a risk to becoming tea dependant?!

Question: Is there a risk to becoming tea dependant!?
So I'm now in the habit of drinking about 4 to 10 cups of tea a day!. And these are big cups too!! So I wonder if it is harmless or is this just too much caffeine!? I know it doesn't have as much as coffee, but I must admit, that is a LOT!. I just love tea and get almost sad if prevented from having it!. So is this harmless or should I cut down!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
That is a respectable amount of caffeine!. Part of the love of tea comes from its psychoactivity, but if the withdrawal symptoms bother you then you should lessen your intake a little!. As for long term health, the benefits of tea's other compounds probably outweigh any problems posed by the caffeine, but it is worth asking your doctor especially if your cardiovascular system is a bit shaky!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Maybe switch to decaf!. I drink a lot of green tea myself!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The caffeine really adds up!. Decaf products contain caffeine, just less of it!. If you are concerned about your caffeine consumption with tea, switch to herbal teas which are caffeine free!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
