Can I use the empty tea-sacks for coffee?!

Question: Can I use the empty tea-sacks for coffee!?

For those who don't know, they are empty paper tea bags that you put loose leaf tea in for convenience!. I am wondering if I could also put course ground coffee in the bag and brew it in my mug!?

Would it affect the taste!?
Have you done it before!?
