Stomach pain after drinking coffee?!

Question: Stomach pain after drinking coffee!?
Every morning for the past year or so, I have a cup of coffee but i've become very hesitant about drinking it!. I need the Coffee because it really wakes me up and I believe that when I don't have at least 1 cup of my Folgers classic roast, I get a caffeine headache!. Anyways, after drinking coffee, my stomach starts to burn, right under where my ribs connect!. Burns badly, and when I push in on my stomach where the pain is, I feel a rather large mass/bulge!. I push on the mass and the pain subsides quite a bit!. Then my stomach makes very loud noises and I feel like i'm starving but too sick to eat, so i drink a glass of ice water and it's like that puts the fire out!. In the back of my mind, I feel that I may have a hernia!. However, some tell me that it's probably a bad ulcer!? If I find out from the doctor that it is an ulcer, what are the procedures to getting rid of it or treating it!?

Thanks in advance,Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
It's the acid in the coffee!. Trying putting non-dairy creamer in it!. also eat something before you drink the coffee!. I go through the same thing if I drink coffee on an empty stomach!. Which I often do!. Oh, I just noticed that your name is Tonya too!. And spelled the same way!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I was just about to say the same thing as Julie ;)

The laxative element make your colon squeeze a lot, which can be felt as stomach pain- the acid in your stomach doesn't help either!. You should eat something just before so your stomach is better lined!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Coffee is very acidic and hard on your stomach!. What you described sound like an ulcer though!. You should see a doctor about that!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Coffee is nature's laxative!. They (Folgers) make a sensative stomach coffee roast!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

go to the doctor he will fix itWww@FoodAQ@Com
