Answers:
Tea tins work really well, however they are not a necessity!. The enemies of tea are : air, moisture, heat and sunlight!. A tin provides all of that!. But then again, so does a tea bag zip up pouches surrounded in that shiny material!. They're 99!.9 percent air proof and a lot cheaper as they're only 50 cents or something!. you can find them at teasource!.com under the accessories -> tea storage section but you could also probably find them on any tea website!.

Tea tins are a lot better looking though, but it really doesn't matter if they're in the cupboard!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Tins do keep tea fresh because they keep the light out- why don't you get a tin to keep the tea in and buy it in bags!? It always comes in bags in England (I don't mean teabags obviously!) It's usually in those plastic foil bags inside a cardboard box, but you can get it in tins aswell, but that's usually 'speciality' tea like lapsang souchong or nilgiri from expensive brands, like you would buy for someone as a gift, rather than everyday tea!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

they work the best because they are almost air tight thus preventing bacteria from growing as easily and it isn't clear so the light cant effect the flavor at all but an air tight jar in the cupboard should work equally as wellWww@FoodAQ@Com
