Answers:
Energy drinks, as their name implies, are meant to replenish fluids, salts and essential minerals that our body would have lost after physical activitie!. They are meant to maintain the balance of the essentials, and to be consumed when one does intense exercise!. They are not meant to be consumed as supplement drinks because then it would upset the balance of the essential minerals in our system, basically you get more than you should have if you have not been working out!. Not that it's bad for all the minerals to be in excess but more often than not you will get excess sugars and calories as well from energy drinks!.
Vitamins are not required to be in energy drinks, thus many energy drinks do not contain vitamins!. Even if they are labelled to contain vitamins, like B12 etc!. consumers should be aware of the percentages of vitamins available in the drink, and at least know the benefits of each vitamin before blindly deciding that the drink is good for health!.
Unknown to many consumers, manufacturers need not put in the essential vitamins and minerals that are actually useful before being able to market their drinks as such!. For example, a manufacturer can claim that his drink is high in calcium, but he need not tell you that most of the calcium in his drink is in the form which is not easily absorbed by your system, while only a meagre percentage of the calcium is useful!.
No point in drinking in excess just to get less than half your daily requirement of that certain vitamin when you can simply get twice of it from a fruit!.
The key to healthy eating and drinking is simply to choose wisely and take everything in moderation, even the healthy foods and drinks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well it's definitley the caffeine and sugar to start!. Caffeine and other stimulants (coffee junkie here) reduce your bodies ability to produce adrenaline naturally!. Sugar is an obvius that I am sure you are well aware of!. Men's health did a little article also about the effects of energy drinks on your teeth!. The funny thing was that Sugar Free Red Bull was the worse for your teeth!. Sorry!.!.!.forgot what the reason for that was other than citric acid!. If you are looking for energy in the form of something other than exercise I strongly reccomend a Vitamin B Complex!. The complex will have your 3 B-vitamins!. But you must be eating well to see the energy benefits!. Creates energy from your food (sorry don't know the whole science)!. also helps with your nervous system and some forms of stress!. If you have ever seen that 5 hour energy drink in the small bottle that has no stimulants!.!.!.that's where its producing the energy for the most part!. I hope this helps!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
