Can I replace my water with plain green tea?!

Question: Can I replace my water with plain green tea?
So instead of drinking say 8 cups of water everyday, can I drink say 6 cups of green tea and 2 of water. Or can I drink all green tea?
And if I do, are there any BAD side effects?

Oh and I mean PLAIN green tea - just hot water and green tealeaves, no sugar, nothing else.
thanks :)

Answers:

No, you shouldn't do that.

Green tea has caffeine in it. Drinking 6 cups of it a day will dehydrate you pretty severely.

I suppose you could do that if you chose caffeine free green tea instead.

Corvato: Water that is used in drinks that contain caffeine and/or alcohol does NOT count towards your 8 cups per day! Both caffeine and alcohol are dehydrating so you actually need to drink 1 additional cup of water for every 1 cup of caffeinated/alcholic beverage you consume.

i dont think so maybe you can drink 3 cups of tea and 5 bottles of water because you will need water if dont do it you can faint with out drinking water

water is water
if its in green tea, coffee, juice, or water... it all counts twards your 8 cups a day
