Is it bad to nuke tea in the microwave?!

Question: Is it bad to nuke tea in the microwave?
My Chinese roommate told me not to reheat tea in the microwave. Is this a cultural practice, or is there anything incorrect in doing this?

Answers:

Micing my tea gave me radiation poisoning and in part gave me super powers.
I wouldn't say it was bad though.

I'm Teaman

I'm not sure if it is their cultural practice, but there is nothing wrong doing it. Ask your roomie about it. Your tea should not taste any different. I have been doing that for a long time, and my tea still tastes decent.

No, theres nothing bad about nuking tea in the microwave.

Its not bad for you, its just going to taste extremely bitter and unpleasant.

You're simply heating water, I don't think there is anything wrong with it. I've done it and I have seen many others do it too.
