Question: A better alternative to pop or juice?
My husband drinks a lot of pop (probably 1L of coke a day, give or take a can or two). He's decided to give it up for juice, because I worry about his health. However, juice has almost as much sugar as pop! Is there any other way he can go than juice? He won't drink water btw, he hates it. All suggestions are appreciated! He is 6 foot, 200 lbs, 21 years old.

Water! Add a slice of lemon or lime or orange.



There are plenty of things on the market that you can add to water to make it more palatable, but the bottom line is that water is the best thing you can drink.

As far as juice, ensure that it is pure juice and limit consumption to 8 ounces per day. Juice can replace 1 of the 2 servings of fruit that is part of the RDA of fruits and vegetables. Vegetable servings should be 3 (all servings of fruit are 1/2 cup; all servings of veg are at least 1/2 cup).
