Is soda okay every now and then?!

Question: Is soda okay every now and then?
I don't drink it. Like, at all. My mom bought me soda for an after-exam treat. It wasn't diet, because she knows that 1. I know how much worse that is compared to regular soda, and 2. It's gross lol
The soda is Dr. Pepper and she bought the little mini 8oz. cans.
Is it okay? I drank a few last week (one every 2, 3 days?) but is it horribly bad? I don't ever drink it because I know that it is bad if you drink it a lot so I just don't.
I prefer water...

I believe you about the diet sodas. My Brother in Law is diabetic but addicted to diet soda and he gets the runs all the time. I tell him, stop drinking the diet sodas the sugar substitute is the reason you have to run for the toilet so often but he doesn't believe me.

As for your sister, she sounds very immature. I'll say "Aw, man..." When I cannot get a Soda but then I just find something else to drink.

A regular soda is perfectly okay once in a while.

THANK GOD SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS HOW DIET IS WORSE THAN REGULAR!
I LOVE YOU!!!!

Another thing, you're lucky. Soda is addictinggg. But once every NOW AND THEN isn't too bad, though none at all is preferred. Just make sure you're still drinking lots of water.
Also, make sure not to get addicted, because when you do, you're screwed.

I swear, its almost like a drug.. (well, sugar is technically a drug)
Sugar, Caffeine, Acids, etc.
THEN THERES THE HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP. Thats the murderer right there.

(and about the diet -- the substitute its self is good for you, it just takes your body A LOT longer to process (A LOT.. LONGER), which just keeps on adding up and up untillllll. YOU DIE. (jk).)
