why does glass bottled coke taste better than caned or plastic bottle?!

Question: Why does glass bottled coke taste better than caned or plastic bottle?
is it really the same coke, just a placebo effect of the general belief that coke tastes better in a bottle, or is it a preservation effect that only occurs in glass, or perhaps, that does not occur only in the glass?

Answers:

>The reason why is because cans leave a little metallic oxidization in the coke and plastic allows air to get through the plastic...yes, plastic is not an impenetrable barrier, it actually has pours in it...so the oxygen gets into the bottle and degrades the coke. It is not your imagination.

I believe it's usually because plastic and cans don't keep the soda cold for very long.

Where as glass bottles keep the soda at the perfect chilled temperature for longer and also glass tends to feel better on your lips then plastic or metal.

All about the smell. The tin smells of horrible coppery aliminium, whilst the glass on the other hand has no odour at all.

I've noticed that too, with other drinks, fizzy and non-fizzy. It must depend on the container.

I don't really know. I know that when I pour coke from a can into a glass to drink it, it taste better
