Does iced tea cause dehydration?!

Question: Does iced tea cause dehydration?
I'm experiencing a fever right now, and there's nothing to drink but soda, iced tea, or tap water. I really hate the idea of drinking tap water, so is iced tea/green tea okay?

Answers:

It doesn't cause dehydration but it is a diuretic, so it does take water out of you. You should be okay to drink the tea

It has water . Water gets rid of dehydration. No it doesn't cause dehydration.

>I don't think so, its just water with a flavoring in it.
