Why am i always thirsty.?!

Question: Why am i always thirsty.?
It seems that i'm always thirsty mostly for soda. If my parents buy 3 things of soda or ice tea ill drink it all the first chance i get. I prefer to drink then eat to, if theres nothing here that i don't like ill starve myself. But back to the point once i drink all things of soda i want more and more and more i'm just starting to feel weird about it. Please help me thanks and is this normal for a 12 year old...

You might want to cut down on the sugar if they aren't diet drinks for sure, and switch to water. Or check with your doctor and see if you have diabetes.

If this is a new habit, you're also urinating with frequency and feeling poorly, you should talk to your parents about the possibility of juvenile diabetes. You could be having a growth spurt and the increased thirst and appetite would be normal but try water and healthier options or you are putting yourself at risk for lots of diseases. Unfortunately, this has become more "normal" behavior for 12 year olds but childhood obesity is at an all-time high so "normal" isn't always what you want to gauge your actions by. If it feels like you have no control, please talk to your doctor. Good luck!!!

It depends if you are only drinking juices, soda, or anything of that sort. Then the reason you are always thirsty is because you a dehydrated you need to drink more water. You are drawn to soda cause it is carbonated and one you drink it makes you feel as you are satisfying your thirst. In reality you are not, drinking water is the only way to reduce feeling thirsty about 8cups of water a day.
