is french press coffee really better than drip?!

Question: Is french press coffee really better than drip?
i really cant see how one would be better than the other. however, i see many people in coffee forums who claim the french press is the only way to go. I love kona coffee and if there is a way to make it better i am all for it. any comments appreciated.

one of the reasons that you might get more flavor from a french press is that the coffee is steeped like tea for a few minutes. with drip coffee, the water flows through the grinds quickly. You really should try it, but remember you need a coarse grind. if it's not your thing, you can always go back to drip coffee.

Well first off its a nicer presentation when you have guests over. But flavor wise it is better because is captures more of the flavor and the oils. I suppose because you press down in it yourself which would release more coffee into the drink, compared to a machine just filling up with hot water and letting it drip through.
