Drink water. Personally I'd put myself through the withdrawal pain if it meant getting off something bad for me. Pain is awesome

First, stop buying the energy drink. Then,Start eating more fruits and vegetables for a healthy substitute. Eating healthy gives you more energy and lasts longer than an energy drink. They also help you focus on your daily activities. If this doesn't help, there are many all natural energy drinks. I have tried them before and they were just as well as the regular. Make sure you are getting the recommended hours of sleep.

See if you can talk to a Registered Dietitian. Often times they will just consult with you and not charge you an arm and a leg.

And yeah, I've heard that it's the widthdrawl from the caffeine that can give you health problems, not only being on it.

I used to be like that with coffee; I worked in a warehouse all summer and we'd just drink coffee ALL DAY. I went back to school and the first day off my coffee-supply I was jittery and had headaches, etc.

NOT being a R.D. myself, I'd say try it gradually since trying to stop cold-turkey could be a shock to your system and just make you binge when you can't take it.

Try looking at the Nutrition Facts and start to wean yourself from those relying on LOTS of caffeine to those who use sugar & plant extracts.

Also those "5-hour energy drink" shots seem legit.

You'll have to look at the facets of what you feel compelled to do: is it physically cracking one open and the physical drinking of it? Is it mentally the way you feel while you're on it you need? And take that into consideration, too.

My own coffee/caffeine experiences. I am not a Dietitian or anything like that.

>Well, first thing first..don't go cold turkey. Back off slowly, lets say, over a week...or even two weeks. Slowly reduce to zero consumption. This gives your body the chance to go through slow withdrawl without going cold turkey.

Secondly, eat right. Eat a healthy food diet.

Third, get exercise that enriches the body with oxygen so that your energy level increases on its own without resorting to caffeine.

Fourth, get a good night's rest. If something like a relationship, a job, work, or school is keeping you up too late, tell whomever...you are not staying up that late any longer because you can't deal with the stress. Don't try to make your body do things you know it can't do.

So there - you have heard this before, right? Slow withdrawl to zero consumption, eat right, get exercise and get proper sleep.

A doctor probably would have told you the same thing.

You're probably addicted to the caffeine and sugar. I had a horrible caffeine addiction and the only way i was able to break it was gradually. Every other day I would drink less. So instead of a 10 oz. cup in the morning, I had a 9 oz, then 8, then 7, then 6 and so on. The change was so gradual I didn't notice it until I got to 4 ounces. That was harder because it looked so small. So I started drinking fruit juice. I'd have 4 ounces of coffee and 4 ounces of juice. somehow it felt okay. As I decreased the coffee again I increased the juice. Now I have a couple of V8s or some other juice and no coffee unless it's decaf. I feel better and don't get the headaches. Good luck.

Get rid of all of the energy drinks in your house if you have any and stay away from stores that have energy drinks. Energy drinks aren’t healthy for you at all. If you still want to drink energy drinks, only once every 3 months.

Stop buying them and you can't drink them. the only way to get over it is to cut it out of your life completely it's hard I know but if you wanna get over it then that's what you have to do.

Try something that you find exciting like smoothies or chocolate milkshakes? If you are calorie conscious try a no added sugar cordial with sparkling water...maybe if you try something new you will find something you like even more!! :) i like nourishment milkshake and diet cream soda :) xx

Im the same way :( Im quitting all caffine right now. The best way to do it is to just not touch it at all. They will go away and you will never get sick because of that again. unless you drink them again

Try drinking green tea instead. Green tea is much healthier. You can get decaffeinated green tea once you are ready.

you can join to re habitation center
