Why do people buy 2% milk?!

I drink 2% milk bc whole milk hurts my stomach. I drink milk like if it is water i looooove milk i can drink 2% milk all day and it doesnt hurt my stomach at all. So thats why i drink 2% milk and not whole milk. Which by the way whole milk taste better honestly but i like both of them anyways

You are right. It's a rip off. Before, we had 3.5 or 3.6% fat in our milk and that was fine. WIth 2% milk, say in tea or coffee, I find I have to use more milk to get the desired color and taste. North Americans tend to perceive fat as the enemy.

it is refering to the amount of fat or how thick it is 1% is thinner and more liquid like and 2% is thicker, its not the amount in the Bags - containers

The 2% refers to the fat content, not the amount of milk.
