Can you have a phobia of a word?!

Question: Can you have a phobia of a word?
I'm very afraid of hearing the word "Tartan" spoken. I can type it, and write it but hearing it causes me to burst into tears and sometimes hyperventilate. Why is this happening to me?

It's certainly possible, you can have a phobia of pretty much anything. Does the word bring back bad memories perhaps?
