Well, pressed coffee isn't filtered by use or paper and some argue that the paper captures some essential oils etc that make the coffee taste different so you'll need a way to allow the coffee to steep and then remove the grounds before drinking it.
So - put coffee into your coffee pot (or any pot) and pour water over it (I think 200 degrees is what some recommend) - allow it to steep for as long as you want, then pour it through a sieve. Thinking that's much of the same thing as pressed coffee no?

No. "French press" refers to the specific brewing method--pouring hot water over coarse ground coffee in the press pot and slowly lowering a plunger to "press" the flavor out of the grounds and leave the grounds trapped in the bottom.

You can put coffee meant for a french press in a regular drip or percolator coffee maker, but it will be drip or percolated coffee, not french press.

yes it is.
