Coconut water is claimed to have all kinds of fabulous health benefits - a quick google search will throw up dozens of articles if you want to know more. These are some of the supposed benefits:

* Naturally Boost Immune System
* Improves Intestinal Health
* Increases Metabolism & Weight Loss
* Balances Body PH
* Detoxify & Fight Viruses
* Stops Fatigue
* Prevents Hypertension
* Controls Diabetes
* Aids in Circulation
* Reduces Cancer Risk
* Treats Kidney Stones
* Eases Stomach Pain & Vomiting

Of course, it has more calories than ordinary water (17 per 100ml), but on the other hand it's far healthier than any manufactured sweet drink.

Coconut water can also be found in ordinary cans or tetra paks (and often has coconut pulp or coconut jelly added) and is also marketed as a sports drink because of its high potassium and mineral content. In fact, one cup-full of coconut water contains more electrolytes than most sports drinks and more potassium than a banana.

I don't think so.
