The practice of changing logos has been controversial for decades (just ask Nike), but the idea is winning some people over who think that has the world changes and tastes become more sophisticated, changing logos every few decades helps companies keep up with those tastes.
The logo is meant to represent a smile, giving a thought of pleasure to the consumer.
If they had a logo of the bucket load of sugar it would vanish from the market.
To make it look more modern and to appeal to their target market better, its all to do with psychology.
the do this to try make it appealing to others so they will change just slightly every time
