Age Requirement For Buying A Monster Energy Drink?!
Alright so one day I decide to go to 7-eleven. Just another normal day and well I wanted to start it by drinking a monster. So I head inside and go to the cold beverage area; grab a monster, doritos,another monster for my brother.
I head to the cash register and set my items down. First thing the guy says,"How old are you?" And i was like..... 13? And guess what? he says "Oh no you can't buy this!"
????? What is there like a law saying that I cant buy a monster unless im 18 or something?????
And it might be because if you read the bottom of the can it says to consume only 3 a day. And what because im a teenager and "not responsible yet" or what?

I own 4 convenient stores in nc and i know for a act that there's no age restriction on purchasing energy drinks. Now with that said every store has the option of making there own policies for selling any of there products. For example we have a competitor store in town who makes you show your id to purchase cigarettes even if you are 75 yrs old. Even though you only have to be 18 yrs old to purchase them. I mean they don't care if you come in there every single day and say the clerk the other day you still must show them your id. IS GREAT FOR US CAUSE IT REALLY AGGRAVATES A BUNCH OF PEOPLE!! With that said i will almost guarantee that its a 7-eleven store policy that you may have to be 18 yrs old to purchase energy drinks. But keep in mind its just a store policy not a law so you attempting to purchase a energy drink at a 7-eleven is nothing you could ever receive a ticket or citation for. WELL HOPE THIS MAKES THINGS LITTLE CLEARER FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND.

No, there isn't any age limit on buying energy drinks, at all. If they made an age requirement for energy drinks, the world knows that they'd have to make an age requirement on Starbucks, which will never happen. They're practically the same things in conception. The only "energy drink" that you have to be 18 to buy is the new "Redline", because of it's dangerous contents. Other than that, you can buy them at any age whatsoever.
