What kind of coffee maker do you buy, and from where?!
My family prefer to ask the lumber yard or hardware store to order us bunn's from grainger for $100. They are made in the U.S. or Canada, unlike the bunns made in china that you can buy at the appliance, or kitchenware stores. They last about 10 yrs, and make coffee in about 2 1/2 min.

My family and I are not big coffee drinker so we just have Macchinetta del Cafe (The Moka Pot) to brew our coffee when needed. Its cheap and lasted for 40 over years, passed down from previous generation.
But the coffee machine which is recommended by many cafes / bars, friends and relatives is Gaggia (made in Italy).
I've had a cheap little Mr. Coffee for over 6 years, and have never had it leak... I bought it at Big Lots, I think, for like $12.
I literally bought the absolute cheapest coffee maker I could possibly find, and have never had a single problem with it, so I really don't see the need to waste $100 on a "quality" brand.
>I just buy the cheapest Mr. Coffee that I can find...maybe $15 on sale. So if you are poor, by a cheap coffee maker and wait a bit longer for the perculation to finish.
There's a ton of good brands- personally, I prefer the ones that use pods instead of filters.

Buy a French press! They're cheap and make coffee really fast! I believe they sell them at Ikea
