Why does coffee not affect me?!

Question: Why does coffee not affect me?
I don't drink coffee very often, but I got a craving for it yesterday, and had 3 cups within a few hours, but it didn't seem to affect me... Why not? I'm 18, male, if that matters...

Thanks.

Answers:

Coffee doesn't affect me either, I think some people are just like that.

I used to drink 12-15 cups of caffeinated coffee a day, with no effect. I swapped overnight to decaf for everything and never noticed any difference. I was no tireder, had no headaches, the caffeine just doesn't make any difference to me.

I still drink just as much coffee now, but have some with caffeine and some without.

I wouldn't worry about it!

Some people have natural immunity to certain chemicals in foods and drinks.

I drink coffee, and have for most of my life. Caffienated drinks have never given me any of the side effects they tend to give everybody else.

But the older I get, the more regular coffee does tend to make my heart beat a little faster, so now that I am getting older, I drink decaf coffee. But all the other caffienated drinks still dont bother me.

You probably aren't that affected by caffeine.

Your body probably just has a better tolerance for caffeine.

Do you have ADD or ADHD? Because coffee often calms rather than excites people with those conditions.

your health condition is not well so coffee does not affect to you.

perhaps you're tea and coke drinker and therefore have built an immunity to cafeine?
