Inhaling carbonated drink air?!

Question: Inhaling carbonated drink air?
(I wasn't sure what the proper name was.)
I am drinking sparkling water and inhaled the air and discovered it tasted like black cherry, just like the water. SO I kept shaking the bottle and inhaling the air, because seriously, that's pretty cool, black cherry flavoured air. But now my heart is beating really fast and I can't breathe. So can you get sick from doing that?

Answers:

No, you cannot get sick from that. The "carbonated air" is carbon dioxide. If you inhale a lot of carbon dioxide, you'll start breathing faster and you'll feel like you cannot catch your breath. The cure is easy, though: just take some deep breaths of ordinary air and you'll recover.

The black-cherry flavor in the air is nothing more than evaporated water. You can taste it a lot more by simply drinking the water.

Im sure you'll be fine, you probably are just a little light headed from repeatively breathing in too deeply with something that wasnt oxygen, so your brain is a little starved. Just sit down for awhile and breathe calmly. If it gets worse, im sure you'll know if u have to go to the emergency room

Why would you even inhale carbonated drinks? You might as well crush up skittles and snort em.

omg that's not normal!
