Is it true caffeine doesn't do anything bad to you?!

Question: Is it true caffeine doesn't do anything bad to you?
Obviously soda is bad for you, but that's because they have tons of sugar and/or sweetener, artificial coloring, all that. But my mom says caffeine found naturally like in coffee and tea, is the one drug where they have tried and failed to prove it to be bad. And as far as I can see, the worst thing it can do is deprive you of sleep. Unless you seriously overdose it, but one, occasionally two cups of coffee a day doesn't sound like it would kill you. Is that true though? I know it kind of screws with your nervous system. I heard it blocks a certain chemical that tells your brain to sleep.

Answers:

Unless you are caffeine sensitive which can lead to irregular heartbeats / upset stomach / acid reflux / intestinal cramping / other muscle cramping / nervousness / jittery feelings / headaches and etc.
Moderate doses of caffeine of about 200 to 300 mg or about two to four cups of brewed coffee a day should be fine but it still varies from person to person.

It's not bad for you, but you can become dependent on it. If you are used to drinking caffeine you can become tired when you don't drink it.

When I stopped drink coffee and soda, I got severe caffeine headaches for a couple days. But I feel much better that now that I'm only drinking water.

It isn't bad for you, but I wouldn't drink TO MUCH of it, cause it can make you feel very twitchy if you over do it. Other than that, it's okay to drink it, especially if it's in coffee or tea. Just don't over do it. 2 cups a day is totally fine. I drink even more than that.

in the long run it is, i believe.. It can help lead to osteoporosis and stuff like that by blocking nutrients the body needs.
