Will this stunt my growth?!

Question: Will this stunt my growth?
I'm 14 years old and I started doing 2 hour workouts a day. I sprint until my legs burn, and do hundreds of pushups until my arms hurt. I also put in some sit-ups and basketball drills. Is this too much and will it stunt my growth?

Answers:

No it won't stunt your growth as long as you are not repeatedly injuring yourself. However, consistently doing anaerobic (where you feel that painful burning in your muscles) workouts will not help muscle tone and growth like aerobic workouts will. The best way is to rest a little between sprints so your body can flush the lactic acid that builds up.

Also if you are doing strength training, it's a good idea to workout every other day so your muscles can fully recover.

there is no scientific proof that it will "stunt your growth" but a friendly word of advice is to not push yourself too hard and allow at least 1 day off per week other wise you will eventually destroy your muscles, and if your trying to get buff, go to websites such as http://weightlossandtraining.com/freeworkoutroutines-men for routines you can do.
