that probably depends on how often you use it.
if your family considers coffee its life blood, it would get constant use and die an earlier death than a coffee maker only dragged out of storage for the holidays and when the in laws come over.
I googled this and found many sites that had lists of appliances and how long an average one lasted but none of those lists included coffee makers, unfortunately.

5 to 10 years it really depends on how well you take care of it. Coffeemakers are wonderful pets to have, they especially love to please you in the morning. They also come in all shapes and sizes, some are really smart and others are just their to please you. Sadly I had to burry my coffeemaker a year ago because his time was up and he could no longer do stuff and I didn't want him to suffer.

RIP Chippy 2003 - 2010

Our coffee makers generally last about two years. We really love coffee and brew one to three pots daily.
