Is it bad to drink water which has been in a glass for a few days. If so why?!

Question: Is it bad to drink water which has been in a glass for a few days. If so why?
Because if it comes from the tank surely it was stagnant there already and if not there in a reserve somewhere else?

Answers:

ewh. you don't know what floats in the air....... and then decides to hop in your cup of water. haha
so, yea don't do that. plus, it tastes weirrrrrrd. it doesn't hurt to get another fresh cup of water.

It doesn't come from a tank - it comes from the rising mains. This is why you should only drink water from a drinking tap and not from the hot water tap where it has been stored in a tank and could be full of germs. If you leave it in the glass for a few days apart from gathering dust and any airborne bacteria it will also lose all its oxygen so it won't taste so good. Having said that it won't kill you but why would you want to drink it?

The water that has been left in a glass will gain sediment and dust particles, along with whatever else was in the water growing.

If this is a science question, the answer is no if in a vacuum, but yes if left around some place.

No, besides the fact that it tastes a little disgusting and is filled with dust. Unless you ARE HIGHLY allergic to dust its just fine.

rust me u dont want 2 do that!! not only dose it taste like fish tank water it will meake u sick! lol i've done it!
