Pop, soda, or soda pop?!

Pop because i get to scream POP when i open it.

If you're from the south, you would understand the following conversation:
Q: What would you like to drink?
A: A coke.
Q: What kind?
A: A Dr. Pepper.

We say soda! But everyone over 50 says pop and anyone over 38 says soda pop

I live in Vancouver, Canada and we say pop or just the name of the pop, Pepsi, Sprite...etc.

It's Coke here.
