Why don't they put missing kids on milk cartons anymore?!

Because it was udderly inappropriate.
well, partly because standard milk no longer comes in a carton: it now usually is packaged in plastic jugs or bottles.
also, pakaging for milk is mass produced. if they put one missing childs name on the container, it'd be on many more than just a few.
fairness: what makes THOSE kids so special? people were most likely angry or jealous of the kids picked to be on the cartons; why didn't MY child get advertised? it could have brought them home.
