Water is the best because it has no side effects yet.But can use fruits, vegetables, skimmed milk, soup.
You don't need eight glasses of water a day … that is a longstanding urban legend.
If you are at rest and not perspiring, a liter (one quart) of water a day is often sufficient to keep your kidneys happy. You can drink a lot more if you want. Your kidneys will simply remove any excess.
Juice and pop certainly count, since they are almost entirely water. So do many foods, since a lot of foods contain a great deal of water.
If you're hot and perspiring, you may have to drink a lot more water. When doing sports in desert conditions, for example, drinking a liter or more per hour of water isn't exceptional. In hot weather, drink water until your bladder fills at least once every three hours and your urine is only lightly colored. Dark urine or urination only every seven or eight hours is a sign that you might be dehydrated. So is a strong headache that won't go away. Plain water is fine, along with something to munch on periodically to maintain your electrolytes.
No... Juice and pop does not count as water...
Drink more juice than pop, but drink more water than juice. (Juices: Orange, apple, Grapefruit, Grape, etc) (not those filled with lots of sugar and stuff)
Btw, It is a myth to drink 8 cups per day to be healthy or whatever. Drink water when you get thirsty or throughout the day. Don't worry if you don't get 8 cups. as long you drink water throughout the day, you will get enough.
Yes, they count. You are told to drink 8 glasses of water because water gets dehydrated. If we loose 1 percent of water in our body, we feel thirsty. Juices and pop also count, because it contains water. All food items have water in it. Juices have more than 95 percentage of water molecules.
8 x 8 oz glasses is the minimum amount = 64 oz one fruit juce size bottle ,thats only 1/2 gallon
