How long is frozen eggnog good for?!

Question: How long is frozen eggnog good for?
I have a half gallon of eggnog in my freezer since I can't buy it except in October through December. I am curious what the self life is on frozen eggnog. When I froze it, it had four or five days left before it expired, that was in the first week of January.

The USDA would say you can freeze it for four months. But realistically - as long as it was frozen solid the whole time, personally I would keep it 6-12 months before I tossed it out.

One thing you have to look out for is bad smells it may pick up from other food in the freezer. Milk products are one of those things that readily pick up bad tastes in the freezer. Butter, for an example, picks up flavors readily unless sealed air tight.
