Why isn't tea classed as water?!
Answers:
Basically because your doctor is not thinking straight.
Your body doesn't care how it gets its water intake.
Hypothetically...
If you ate the solids left from evaporating your cup of tea (about a tenth of a gram of dust) and then had the 'pure' water separately - you are ingesting EXACTLY the same compounds...yet some foolish people believe that water must be 'pure' to be effective for healthy living.
What it IS worthwhile avoiding are drinks laden with caffeine as this is a diuretic (makes you pee) and can actually dehydrate you SLIGHTLY even though you are consuming lots of it.
Enjoy your tea...
You are correct...
tea, like coffee is a diaretic(not spelled correctly im sure) which causes the body to eject it quicker thus not hydrating the body as its not in long enough and making u pee more expelling more liquid. always wondered why u pee more after tea, coffee alcohol etc. The body links a diaretic to poison and expells it quicker than water on its own.
100% Water -is Just THAT. But anything that's IN the Water that reduces the Percentage below 100%, -is classified as Whatever That substance IS. If it's Dirt; "Muddy Water." Tea leaves; "Tea". A mixture of food Ingredients; Soup. -And so On...
Your Question.
Tea is an herb or the beverage made form steeping the herb in water. Instant tea is that beverage dehydrated and prepared with or without sugar and flavoring.
No it's not! To make tea you use water and tea leaves, therefore it's not water; it's water with dissolved tea leaves in it!
well tea is not just water. its water mixed with different things like the tea itself and then there is milk and or sugar.
common sense
H2O is water. Tea is H2O + tea leaf infusion. Therefore no longer water.
theres water in cakes, doesnt mean that cakes are water
its not water because pop has water in it. is it water? no. It has other crap in it. just like tea. (:
Not really because tea is made from leaves and has a different ph to water, i think.
you are right, 1 cup of tea with no milk = 1 cup of water with an essence of flavouring.
Because it's tea.
I have a PhD in liquidology.
what a badly written question. how can you expect good answers when you wrote your question so badly.

It's from a herb.
