i just got a pur water filter yesterday and now the water smells?!

i wait for the green light to go off and then when filled my water bottle the water smelt like dead fish. and so i didnt drink it and today i let it run for 30 seconds but the water still smells like rotten fish. why? before i got my filter the water didnt smell at all tasted a little like bleach but thats why i got the filter and now my water smells like fish?

Did you filter water throughtwice or maybe three times first? They do tend to smell the first few times you use it so filter water through it a few times to flush the filter out and see of it's any better (dispose of the water for the first few filtrations). xx
