why does boiled water taste different that cold water? After its cooled off?!


Question: Why does boiled water taste different that cold water? After its cooled off?
So, the title says it all. Why is it when you boil water and let it cool off. it tastes different than un-boiled water? I need this answer for my science fair project so please help =D

cos it was boiled... the whole structure of the water molecules changes during boiling, melting etc..



Don't know for sure, but maybe because the bacteria is boiled away; heat kills bacteria after all, and bacteria and minerals give different tastes to everything. After you boil it and cool it down, it should taste better...right?



tap water has a lot of impurities in it. when you boil it, it gets purified, a little. that's why it tastes different. you should always boil water before you consume it. it wouldn't hurt to filter it as well.



When you boil it many of the impurities like chlorine are also boiled off.
