What's the difference between a cappuccino machine and an espresso machine?!

Question: What's the difference between a cappuccino machine and an espresso machine?
I have no idea what I'm looking at when I Google search (images) either machine. Many look the same...many totally different.

Is and espresso machine just a glorified coffee maker that grinds it's own beans and has a steamer?

Espresso is a kind of coffee made with water under pressure, cappuccino is made with espresso & milk.

Almost all espresso machines have a steaming wand (some better than others), and may be advertised as cappuccino machine as well. Some cappuccino devices http://www.amazon.com/Bialetti-Express-C… make good coffee (but not true espresso) and automatically heat & add milk. It may taste good, but it's not the same as real cappuccino.

As to the grinding beans: there are 'full automatic' models that grind, pack, and brew with the press of a button; 'semi-automatics' that create the pressure, but require you to do the rest (better in my opinion); and 'manuals' that you create the pressure by pulling a lever (hard to be consistent).

I roast my own beans and have seven ways to brew coffee.

A Cappuccino machine is just and espresso machine that has a milk steaming wand.

The espresso bean is just a certain color of roast

Some machines grind the beans fo you and some don't
