Drinking water essentially replaces the used fluids in your body. Take your liver for example. When you go to the bathroom in the morning your urine is bright yellow, and at the end of the day it not as yellow. Why? Because your body is getting rid of the bile. Drinking water replaces the fluids your body disposes of and keeps the system clean.
A lack of water can lead to an overbuild of bile and unwanted substances in your system, and, as mentioned above can cause health issues (-- in the kidneys' case, kidney stones for example).

The amount you should drink depends on your weight.

I dont drink a lot of water either.
Dehydration for starters.
Also, each cell will hold onto more water and swells up. Hence water weight. What i do is i buy a bottle of water and make an effort ti drink it at work. That way i know im getting some cause i wont drink water for days otherwise

Too much water is flushing out some minerals from your body - don't listen to that eight glasses a day BS.Drink when you are thirsty. Mother nature wil tell you.
The bottled water Industry came up with that myth of one glass per hour.

Your kidneys also need you to drink water throughout the day. Coffee and tea don't count because they have diuretics in them and just wash water out of your system.
