Amazake Shake: Fattening or healthy?!

Question: Amazake Shake: Fattening or healthy?
I'm wondering about the Amazake shake. This is not the alcoholic Japanese drink. It's a health food rice drink that comes in several flavors. I'm wondering if anyone knows some information about it, or drinks it, and knows whether it's fattening or good for you.

Thanks :)

Answers:

It has lots of carbs in it, but generally not the kind that get absorbed super-fast into your bloodstream, because it is made only from fermented brown rice. It won't cause the same sort of insulin surge that a sugar-sweetened drink would cause, so it won't be as fattening.
