No. It makes no difference on your teeth then if you had braces or not.

They just tell you that anything that can stain your teeth can make your teeth look odd after you get your braces off because it will leave white spots where the braces were mounted on your teeth. This is because at the mount-point, your teeth were not exposed to all the things you ate/drank because they were covered by the braces. Tea and coffee stains teeth pretty bad. I do not know that pop is that bad at staining teeth, but it sure is bad for them (very sugary and acidic). It makes a big difference how long you had your braces too. If you had them for 1 year, it's much less likely to have staining differentials than if you had them on for 3 years.

I suspect you will be fine unless you drink a lot of coffee and tea and had your braces for much longer than a year.

my dentist has told me many times, because of my sons, that carbonated drinks will eat away at the enamel on your teeth. It has nothing to do with the color of the soda, nor whether it is sugar free. I suppose with braces that effect is compounded because there are more places for the soda to get into and cause the damage. I hope things work out OK for you.

The only reason that people say that it is bad is because of the plaque spots that you can get. To avoid these you should brush you teeth morning and night, soda is just as bad as eating other food or drinking juice.

If you drank a Lot of darer sodas or tea or coffee it may stain you teeth, but if you have been avoiding it you shouldn't have a problem. Besides the dentist will clean you teeth really well.

Soda is bad for your teeth with or without braces. If you want to drink it just make sure you brush your teeth right after.
