Is drinking 5 liters of water bad?!
Answers:
That's not necessarily bad. The best estimate to use, though, is about a liter to every seventy pounds. So let's say you're 140 pounds, that means you should drink at least two liters a day. Of course, this isn't always accurate, as your workout needs and other circumstances may increase or decrease your necessary water intake.
just because you had limited water intake one day doesn't mean you need excessive intake the next though if you are worried about dehydration, it cant hurt to drink a few extra cups of water. Generally you should drink half your body weight in ounces (assuming you go by american units of measurments where weight is measured in pounds) or about 1-2 liters. But anyway, if you drink too much water, you can suffer from water intoxication, or water poisoning (kinda ironic huh?) which can cause cellular swelling which leads to the death of cells in the CNS (central nervous system) including the spinal cord and the brain. This may seem overwhelming and dangerous but it rarly happens and normally only in instances like marathon runners who hyper-hydrate themselves or competitions which involve excessive drinking. Honestly as long as you dont begin to feel sick or fatigue i don't belive you have anything to worry about.
