What is bubble tea, exactly?!

Question: What is bubble tea, exactly?
How does it taste? Flavor recommendations?

Answers:

bubble tea can be in the form of a fizzy tea, or in the form of milk tea which is infused with natural flavoruings e.g taro, chocolate, mango etc. "pearls" or basically sweetened small black tapioca balls are added, which sometimes float hence the term bubbles, they are chewy and sweet and compliment the infused tea very well.

Bubble tea or foam tea, is a sweetly flavored tea beverage invented in Taiwan. Drink recipes may vary, but most bubble teas contain a tea base mixed with fruit (or fruit syrup) and/or milk. Ice blended versions of the drink are also available, usually in fruit flavors. Bubble teas usually contain small tapioca balls or pearls called "boba". Pearls made of jelly are also available in many places. These teas are shaken to mix the ingredients, creating a foam on the top of some varieties, hence the name.

bubble tea is awesome. I'm not sure how to describe it, but you should get granny apple tea with tapioca. Tapioca is the best although i don't like how they charge you extra for it :(

Bubble tea...is tea, and at the bottom of it there are tapioca balls. When you suck through the straw BE PREPARED to be hit in the mouth with balls. xD

It's fizzy tea.
Tastes like normal tea except it's carbonated.

Imirra - I bet she's quite used to being hit in the mouth with balls.
BOOM.
